The Digital Dog Pound Story

Digital Dog Pound started as an online retailer under the name 21stcenturycds.com in December 1998. With the 21stcenturycds.com the company sold new and used CDs, DVDs and Videos.

In May 2002 the name was changed to DigitalDogPound.com, and the current day website was launched.

On September 18, 2002 Digital Dog Pound Video was opened in Elk Run Heights.

A larger video store was needed and was built and opened on May 18th 2004 in Evansdale. The new and larger facility tanning was added to the business. "Celebrity Tan" is the areas most luxurious tanning salon with the cleanest rooms, and newest beds and bulbs.

In 2006 a new store was opened in Waverly, Iowa.

In 2007, the corporate offices and online facility, moved to Waverly, Iowa. The new facility is the hub for the DigitalDogPound.com website operation which sells over 500,000 different new DVDs, Games and more. Thousands of packages ship out of this facility every day. Also in 2007 a new stores were opened in Cedar Falls and in Waterloo.
